It’s September already! September will be our 50th FRESH release! To celebrate we’re leaning heavily into home grown hops again with Nelson Sauvin and Waimea, teaming up with hand selected US Citra. One of the things I love about Nelson is the way it plays so well with others. There’s even research now to suggest that it can have a synergistic role in releasing flavours and aromas from other hops. There’s definitely a lot going on in FRESH SEP. Cracking a can immediately fills the room with a distinct tropical juice-box note. It then pours the luminous hazy gold of freshly squeezed OJ, releasing a juicy, dense tropical fruit aroma with loads of fresh cut mango slices, pineapple and passionfruit - with a slight lemongrass back note. Then on the plate it’s full bodied, with a balance of sweet malt and hops with gooseberry, mango, citrus and nectarine stone fruit. It’s a great way to celebrate, so crack a can and raise a glass. Here’s to 50 FRESH and many more to come.
